BRADES, Montserrat (January 21, 2010) – Six members of the Antigua media were the guests today of the Montserrat Tourist Board (MTB).

“The visit was to show residents of the neighbouring island that Montserrat is still a safe and great place to visit,” remarked Ishwar Persad, Marketing Officer for the MTB.

The media group visited among other locations the Montserrat Volcano Observatory, Jack Boy Hill, the Montserrat Cultural Centre and had a tour of the new Little Bay Development. They also interviewed Chief Minister Reuben T. Meade who spoke extensively about the future plans for the island, including the housing expansion programme and the stimulation of private sector enterprise.

Members of the team were Trevor Shirley and Anderson Edgehill of ABS Television, Tamika Malone of The Daily Observer, Steve Freeland and Audley Goodwin of VYBZ FM, and Patricia Benjamin of Caribarena.com.
