St. Augustine Primary School raises $1,500 with donuts for Haiti

BRADES, Montserrat (February 07, 2010) – The students and teachers of the St. Augustine Primary School in Woodlands raised $1500 to support Haiti relief in January.

Teacher Evelyn Gibson was commended by the principal AnneMarie Dewar and Father Agger of the Roman Catholic church for her initiative and for baking the 500 tasty donuts which were sold daily at EC$ 3.00.

The donations were blessed during the special school mass on Sunday at the St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Look Out. It will be sent along with other church donations to Haiti in the coming week.
